Homecoming 2024
Sunday, October 6
In 1936, Trinity Episcopal Church held its first Homecoming. Teachers and students who had graduated from Trinity School were invited back on the first Sunday in October in 1936 to visit and reminisce where they had spent many formative years. The event was a success and was continued.
While those students and teachers from Trinity School have departed this life, Homecoming has continued over the decades. The first Sunday in October is still kept as Homecoming each year at Trinity. Family and friends from far and near come each year on the first Sunday in October to enjoy worshipping, eating, meeting new folks, and reminiscing.
Former members and friends of St. Paul's, Washington and Holy Cross, Aurora are invited to join in Homecoming every year.
Mark the first Sunday in October on your calendar each year. Come to Trinity and come home!
Our Homecoming last year was on Sunday, October 6 and our special guest was the Rev'd E. T. Malone, Jr., great-grandson of the Rev'd C. D. Malone who was the Rector of Trinity Church from 1910 to 1916. Throughout 2024 we celebrated our semi quincentennial year--two years before the country!
